Q: What is the car black box ?
A: The car black box is similar to the black box for an airplane. It records the car movement and also video record the front of the car and the rear or inside of it depending on the option.
It is also called as the CAR DVR, or the Vehicle Movement recorder.

Q: How do I install the car black-box into my vehicle?
A: The kit comes with a strong 3M adhesive mount for your windshield. The ring mount is adjustable to any angle windshield and the kit can be removed from the ring mount (to prevent theft or for use in multiple vehicles). You can refer to the instruction manuals for details.

Q: How is the device powered ?

The kit comes with a 12V cigar jack adaptor, which is the only wire coming out of the unit. Adhesive wire clips are included to help neatly run the wire to the power source. There is also an available power supply that runs directly to your vehicle's fusebox at an extra cost depending on the model.

Q: How much data can the device store on the SD card?
A: Storage times depend on numerous factors, such as: SD card size, frames per second, video resolution, and video quality. All of these are selectable options.

Q: How does the device record video prior to the impact?
A: The device is always recording, but constantly overwriting itself...unless it is told to record via shock impact or by manual setting. When the device is triggered to record, it simply saves the previous video before the impact (and after the impact depending on the setting and the model) up to 10 to 20 seconds, to memory.

Q: How do I view my videos?
A: The kit comes with a SD memory card (or micro SD depending on the model) and you simply put it into your PC and install the related software to see it. Once you have videos recorded on your SD card (either automatically by shock impact or by manual setting) you can remove the SD card from the unit and use the software to view the selected videos.
