The new MX-760HD is the latest addition to MVIX's portable HDD-based Multimedia Players. The Mvix™ Wireless High-Definition Media Center features outstanding visual quality, supported by leading-edge video decoding technologies, high resolution audio specifications and the capability for wireless connectivity to home and office networks. A digital media file player that offers true brilliance in hi-definition video output with vivid views and colors. It supports resolution of 1920 x 1080i Progressive Scan video output to produce crisp and clear picture quality.
Wireless Networking:
The Mvix™ Hi-Def 802.1g Multimedia Center links to the home or office network and plugs all the digital media content directly to the TV or display device.
The MX-760HD features the 802.11g standard with WEP infrastructure to deliver maximum wireless signal rates (of up to 54 Mbps) for streaming digital media. It even allows PC connectivity via USB2.0, LAN (10/100 Mbps) and even USB-Host ports.

Video & Movie Library:
Mvix™ technology allows you store your home videos and movies all in one place. Virtually limitless HDD-size capability allows terrabytes of video content and DVD backups – all within one compact unit. A full-featured remote with simple on-screen navigation enables fast-forward, rewind or pause at any time, just like using a regular video or DVD player.
Music Jukebox and Audio Playback:
Store and play your entire music collection though the home stereo system. The MX-760HD is even programmed for automatic decoding and convenient bookmarking(playlist) of multiple mp3 files across folders. Oh! and did we mention that the MX-760HD offers Digital Optical-Audio port for our audiophiles. Yeah! and it also supports DTS downmixing and passthrough!

We are officially releasing the MX-760HD Wireless HD Media Center. This feature-laden box supports wireless media (HD thankfully included) streaming over 802.11g with full WEP support, and comes packed with an optional 200 to 750GB hard drive to store files remotely. Sporting a 7.4- x 7.6- x 2.3-inch enclosure, the Linux-based box plays nicely with Windows systems and outputs in NTSC / PAL, and even includes an external LCD to give you quick updates on what's going where. Aside from WiFi, it also features Ethernet connectivity and USB ports, and Mvix even includes a remote to control the action from afar. On the rear, you'll find outputs for DVI, component, composite, stereo, and optical / coaxial digital audio to play back any of your DivX, MPEG 1/2/4, WMV, ASF, DAT, DVD, IFO, VOB, ISO, MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG, PCM, AC3, DTS, BMP, JPEG, and PNG files -- and that's just the tip of the iceberg. So if you're scouting a silm HD streamer with internal storage to boot, this is it.
Mvix Media Players work with ATA / ATAPI or ULTRA-ATA Internal (IDE / EIDE) 3.5" Hard Disk Drives (HDD).
We recommend use of hard drives with large buffer size (minimum 8MB).
Kindly note that Mvix Media Centers do NOT work with SATA HDDs.
8MB or 16MB buffer sizes.
Recommended Brands: Seagate, or Maxtor.
We recommend using 2 or more partitions on HDDs larger than 100GB and 3 or more partitions on HDDs larger than 400GB. Mvix Media Centers are capable of supporting very large-sized HDDs (even 750GB PATA HDD !!)
Note: We strongly recommend use of MAXTOR or SEAGATE-brand Hard Drives. There is currently an unknown incompatibility issue with few Western Digital 500GB (WD5000AA*) and some Hitachi drives, due to their inconsistent power requirements. Avoid these drives if possible.
